  • February 2023: 02.02.2023: Organ Donation Awareness program at NU Hospital Bangalore:

    • An organ donation awareness program was arranged at NU Hospital Padmanabha Nagar. Transplant Coordinators from Jeevasarthakathe Mr. Naushad Pasha, Mr. Choodesh, and Mr. Chetan participated in the event, Dr. Dilip Ranganath Group Medical director of NU hospital was gracing the occasion and talked about the importance of organ donation, the reasons of organ failure and how our life affects it. A PPT was presented by Mr. Chetan Kumar about organ donation and Mr. Naushad Pasha enlightened the gathering about the Role and responsibilities of Jeevasarthakathe. More than 200 employees of the NU hospital participated in the event about 150 people came forward and pledged for organ donation.
  • February 2023 : 03.02.2022: Organ Donation Awareness program at Wenlock hospital library Mangaluru:

    • The Redcross society organized an awareness program on organ donation for Roshni Students at Wenlock hospital. In this program, Ms. Padma, the transplant coordinator of Jeevasarthakthe/ SOTTO Karnataka Mangaluru zone explained the need and importance of organ donation, the concept of brain death, and also the importance of pledging for organ donation. Nearly 15 members participated in this program and 4 students pledged for organ donation.
  • February 2023: 06.02.2023: BMST Program at Trivandrum:

    • Ms. Lijamol Joseph Chief Transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka has been invited as the subject matter expert to discuss the possibility of setting up a centralized testing facility for all renal cross-match facilities of Kerala SOTTO. The meeting was hosted by the nodal officer of K-SOTTO Dr. Noble Gracious. Dr. Latha Jagadnathan and Dr. Ankit Mathur from Bangalore Medical Trust discussed the possibility of hands-on training and hand-holding of the existing staff by them. The meeting concluded with a facility tour of Trivandrum Medical college hospital.

    • An organ donation awareness event was held at DarshanMedicare and old age home in collaboration with Enable India NGO students, Transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakthe Ms. Shobha participated in the event and shared the importance of organ donation and pledging for organ donation. 20 members participated in the events and 5 people came forward and pledged for organ donation.

    • An Organ donation awareness event was held in the State Level Youth Festival at Gandhi Bhavan Bangalore in collaboration with the Department of Pre-University Education and National Service Scheme and the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports Govt of India, Mr. Chetan and Mr. Srinivas Transplant coordinators from Jeevasarthakathe participated in the event. A PPT was presented by Mr. Chethan about Organ Donation, and Mr. Srinivas enlightened the gathering about Jeevasarthakathe and the importance of Organ donation. More than 150 NSS students attended the event and 30 came forward to pledge for organ donation.
  • February 2023: 09.02.2022: Organ Donation Awareness program at SDM law college Mangalore:

    • The SDM law college of Mangalore in collaboration with the A.J hospital and Research center organized an awareness program on organ donation for Management Students at SDM law college Mangalore. The principal of SDM law college and Ms. Soumya transplant coordinator of A.J hospital participated in the program. Dr. Prashanth Marla, MD A.J hospital presented the PPT on the needs and importance of organ donation, the concept of brain death, and the importance of pledging organs. A short movie regarding organ donation named Jeevanvileenwas also showcased to students. Ms. Padma Transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka explained the importance of pledging for organ donation. Nearly 200 members participated in this program and 18 students pledged for organ donation.
  • February 2023: 11.02.2023: Organ Donation Awareness Event at Bangalore:

    • Dr. Geetha a Gynaecologist from Sree Sai Ram Hospital has organized an Awareness event on account of her aunt’s death ceremony. Ms. Chandrakala Transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe participated in the event and shared details about organ donation and pledging for organ donation more than 50 people were attending the event and 15 people came forward and pledged for organ donation.
  • February 2023: 12.02.2023: One-day Workshop on Improving Living Donations at Chennai:

    • A living donor advocacy workshop has been conducted by the MOHAN Foundation at Abu Sarovar Portico Kilpau Chennai to encourage ethical living donation and explore ways to increase the donor pool so that the maximum number of lives can be saved. Ms. Lijamol Joseph Chief Transplant coordinator from Jeevsarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka participated in the workshop. The topics covered during the workshop are, 1. Special Judgments for living donations 2. Social media and living donation 3. Non-Directed Altruistic Donation 4. Making a Living donation free of Coercion 5. Role of Independent Living Donor Advocacy 6. Health Insurance to support Living Donors and Recipient

    • The District Disability Rehabilitation center organized an awareness program on Ayushman Bharath and organ donation for the general publicand University Students at Rayi Gramapanchayath of Bantwala Taluk. In this program, Ms. Padma transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnatakashared her knowledge about the needs and importance of organ donation, and the concept of brain death. Ms. Laveena another transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnatakaexplained the importance of pledging for organ donation. The district coordinator of Ayushman Bharath Dr.Yashashwini explained the Ayushman Bharath schemes. Nearly 150 members including the President of Gramapanchayath, PDOparticipated in the program. 18 students pledged for organ donation.

    • An organ donation awareness event was held atEnable India NGO for the staff and students of the NGO, Transplant coordinator from Jeevasarthakthe/ SOTTO Karnataka Ms. Shobha participated in the event and shared the importance of organ donation and pledging for organ donation. More than 50 members including a few blind students associated with the NGO participated in the event.

    • An Organ Donation Awareness program was held at the Maternity Ward ground floor of District Hospital Dharwad, Mr.Manoj Nayak Transplant Coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka Hubbali zone attended the program and talked about organ donation, and distributed IEC material. 20 people attended the program.
  • February 2023: 20.02.2023: Organ Donation Awareness Event at Kristu Jayanti College Bangalore:

    • An organ donation awareness event was held at Kristu Jayanti College Bangalore as part of the expert lecture series for social work students and NSS volunteers. Ms. Lijamol Joseph Chief Coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe has been invited as the Resource Person for an Expert Lecture on The Role of Professional Social Workers in Organ Donation followed by Q & A. Around 350 students including the students from Red Cross participated in the event and all the students took an oath to become organ donor ambassadors.
  • February 2023: 21.02.2023 : Organ Donation Awareness program at District Maternity Hospital Dharwad:

    • The Organ Donation Awareness Program was held at the Entrance Gate of District Maternity Hospital Dharwad. Mr. Manoj Nayak Transplant Coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka Hubbali zone attended the program, talked about organ donation, and distributed IEC materials. 20 people attended the program.
  • February 2023: 22.02.2023: Organ Donation Awareness Program at Dharwad:

    • The organ donation awareness program was held at Community Health Officer Training Centre District Hospital Dharwad, Mr.Manoj Nayak Transplant Coordinator Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka from Hubbali zone attended the program and talked about organ donation, distributed IEC material. 50 people attended the program.
  • February 2023: 24.02.2023: Preliminary meeting for conducting a rally and organ donation awareness program for World Kidney Day at Sindhanur:

    • A preliminary meeting was held on 24th Feb at Sindhur IB about celebrating World Kidney Day. Mr. Shekappa Kattimani Transplant Coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka participated in the meeting and discussed organizing the Jatha and public awareness on organ donation and pledge camp. CPM Organization members, SUDHI Electronic media head Mr.Devindra, GREEN Raichur organization Mr. RajesdraShivale, & youth union association president attended the meeting.
  • February 2023: 28.02.2023: Induction training for the newly recruited Medical Officers at Bangalore:

    • Induction training for 21 days was held at Regional Health and Family Welfare Training Centre Arogya Soudha gate for 3rd batch newly recruited medical officers. Ms. Lijamol Joseph chief coordinator from Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka has been invited as the subject expert to talk on “Process flow of organ donation in Karnataka”. About 30 trainee officers attended the session.

  • 03.09.2022: 7th National Organ Donation Masterclass At M S Ramaiah Advanced Learning centre Bangalore: Two Days Organ Retrieval Workshop was held at M S Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre, This workshop has been regularly conducted annually in partnership with Oxford University Teaching Hospitals, to train surgeons in skills for safe organ recovery from deceased donors. The Workshop was inaugurated by Health Commissioner Mr Randeep, Ms Lijamol Joseph the Chief Coordinator Jeevasarthakathe participated in the workshop and shared knowledge on the “Process Flow for Organ Retrieval in Karnataka” with the participants.
  • 30.07.2022: CME program at HIMS Hassan: CME program was organized at HIMS Hassan by the Department of Anaesthesiology, Department of General Surgery & Department of General medicine in association with SOTTO Karnataka Jeevasarthakathe on Brain Stem Death Declaration & Organ Retrieval for the ICU, Transplant & Coordinators. Where the coordinators were trained on identification, maintenance & certification for brain stem death declaration. Mr.Choodesh & Mr.Naushad Pasha the transplant coordinators from Jeevasarthakathe shared their knowledge. About 200 Members participated in the event.
  • 26.07.2022: One-day Workshop for Hospital Coordinators at Manipal Group Hospital (HAL): One Day workshop was organized for coordinators by Manipal Group Hospital in Association with Jeevasarthakathe/ SOTTO Karnataka, on Brain stem Death Declaration & Organ Donation where the Medical and Paramedical Staff were trained on Identifying and declaring the Brain Death and grief counseling. Mr. Randeep Health Commissioner inaugurated the workshop and Dr. Kiran Kumar Joint director of Medical Health and family welfare presided over the event, Dr. Indumathi Director health and family welfare, Dr. Deepak Special Officer of Trauma and Emergency care center, Dr. Sunil Karant, Ms. Lijamol Joseph chief transplant coordinator have also attended the event. About 130 members participated in the program
  • 15.07.2022: CME program at Sagar Hospital Bangalore: CME program was held at Sagar Hospital about Brain death Declaration & Organ donation was conducted for the ICU Doctors, Transplant teams & the hospital Coordinator. Dr.ChinnaDurai spoke about the identification and Maintenance of Potential Donors in ICUs and the Chief coordinator of Jeevasarthakathe Ms. LijaMol Joseph spoke about Jeevasarthakathe/SOTTO. More than 50 Members participated in the program.
